Handmade Christmas ornaments make for special and sure-to-be-treasured gifts for friends and family.  This year I found some ornament tutorials and then used papers from different Pion Design collections to make these ornaments.  I chose the colors based on the color theme each friend and family member was using this year for their Christmas tree.
Have a great day!
Tara

I have been trying to make the star ornaments from your solid cardstock before I wreck the good paper. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I make 2 identical ones but when I put them together….they do not look like the ones above. Are these made by combining two and could you tell me the sizes that these ornaments are? Thank you for any help.ReplyCancel

    • DT ~ Tara

Hi Elizabeth, Yes the first seven star ornaments are made by joining two (that are exactly the same) together. Just bring the two together and straddle the star points so that the points are next to each other (not on top of one another) and then merge them by threading the long thick strips through the joined star points. Once these thicker strips are in place, glue them down to the point and then trim off the excess at the top of the thick strip with scissors to make it into a point. You can vary the size of the ornaments, but mine are all about 6″ in size. I hope this helps!ReplyCancel

I have only just come across these beautiful ornaments on pinterest. They are so resonant of olde worlde Christmases with handmade ornaments decorating the tree. I would love to have a go at making the ornament one and two styles but I cannot find a link to the directions. I know this post is several years old but I wonder if you could guide me to the tutorial. I am in the UK but will try and find a source for these beautiful papers. Many thanks.ReplyCancel
