These retro cameras were made using the wonderful For Mother and For Father papers.  A hidden back box on the camera opens to hold photos. I enjoy the versatility that the different papers offer as both feminine and masculine vintage designs are available. Handmade projects made with Pion Design are sure to be treasured.

    Im being a bit doff I cant seem to work out the size of the bellows. I downloaded the cutting file but I see it comes in WPC format will that work with my MTC? Or if you can give me the manual measurements please. The bellow goes from wide to narrow what is the width at the wide end and what is the width at the narrow end and how long is the full length of the bellow the full 12inches of the paper?

    Thank you for your assistance and you won’t believe how happy I was to find this tutorial thank you for sharing.

      Hi Adele, There are ways to convert WPC to other file formats, so you might try an internet search to see if there is a way to convert to the particular file format you need. In the mean time, each of the four bellow pieces measure 8 1/4″ length. The widest width at one end is 3 1/2″ and this tapers/narrows down to 2″ at the other end. There are 22 score lines that are 3/8″ apart along the length of each bellow piece. The 2 long score lines opposite the 22 score lines, are 5/16″ in from the edge of the paper on each side. Today I have  made a card using the frame Rosa 6×6″ from the Flower Frames collection. For the panels and the inside I have used matching pink papers and the panels on front of the cards are fixed by using 3D glue dots. The butterflies are from the Vintage Garden collection.

Antique Telephone Tara

    Hi Connie,
    I made the box with thick chipboard and then covered it with Vintage Garden papers. The box feet are a Tim Holtz Idea-Ology product. The top metal handle and holders came from Hobby Lobby (local craft store). I went to a local hardware store (Ace) and picked up the side crank handle and the side pulley piece. I also found the black phone cord and rubber pieces for the top handle at the hardware store. Hope this helps! Thanks for the kind comments!ReplyCancel

      Hi Joyce, The center round frame is a 7 Gypsies frame. For the round numbers, I just took some jeweled brads and removed the jewels with a craft knife and then applied black round epoxy 3-D number stickers that I found at Hobby Lobby. Hope this helps!ReplyCancel

      Hi Marie, the decoration around the box is a Tattered Lace “Antique Frame” 3 in 1 die. The top box is completely square with each side measuring 5″. The smaller bottom box measure 5 5/8″ by 5 5/8″ with a 1 1/2″ height. Thanks so much Marie – I hope this helps!ReplyCancel

Can you please tell us how many sheets of pion papers that we need, and what size are boxes, and where do you get the desings and what do you use for glue? Are the pearl string type or loose type?       Hi Petra, I used 2 sheets of Phlox (PD3602) and 1 sheet of the 6×6 Phlox (PD3702) as well as some border strips from one sheet of PD3610. The top box is a square with each side measuring 5″ by 5″. The smaller bottom box measures 5 5/8″ by 5 5/8″ with a 1 1/2″ height. I used a Tattered Lace “Antique Frame” die on the sides and the flowers were handmade using a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die. The pearls are strips of 2mm flat back self-adhesive pearls that I get from a local craft store. I use Scotch quick dry glue on most of my projects. Take care!ReplyCancel
