The breathtaking Days of Winter papers were used to make these woven paper projects for the upcoming holiday season.  The templates for the projects came from Papermatrix here.  The ornaments and jar were covered with jewels to provide regal decoration to add to the festivities.

I enjoyed using the soft Days of Winter collection to make these projects.  All started out as being just plain glass containers, but after painting them ivory and then decoupaging these gorgeous papers onto them, they were transformed into the projects you see above.  In order, they are an olive oil bottle, a candy jar, and a decanter.  Making holiday gifts has never been so much fun with these stunning papers!

    Can you please tell me what type of paint you used for the glass bottles? I’ve yet to be successful in painting on glass where the paint doesn’t peel right off.

      Hi Sharon, I used a “glass paint” purchased from Hobby Lobby. You should be able to find it in their craft paint section. Just apply one coat at a time, paint quickly with a large brush, and don’t paint over what you have already painted. It’s important to let it cure for at least 24 hours before you apply another coat of paint, and another 24 hours before you begin decorating over the paint. I hope this helps.
