I’ve made upright altered Pringles cans before, but this time I made one laying on it’s side with the blue papers from Our Furry Friends and Days Gone By.
The collections match each other perfectly so I have used these together. The soft dusty blues are breathtaking!
Enjoy your day of crafting with these stunning papers!

Wauw more beauty from you here Tara. You just keep onm with all your stunning work here. This is sooo gorgeous and I must admit, these papers are just as made for this. I´ve made several of these over the years, but this is simply stunning, and soooo perfect decorated. Think I better give it another go and make one of these again, maybe one for my granddaughters confirmation here soon.
WOW Tara this is gorgeous!!!!! I love pringles!!! But never thought to alter a can! So can i ask a question please? How did you manage to get the opening of the pringles can closed? It doesn’ t look like you used the plastic top that opens the can. Or did you? Would love to know! Thanks!
Hugs,
Jo
Hi Jo! A heartfelt thank you for your kind comment! Here’s how I made the project:
1. draw a straight line down the long side of the can and then carefully use a sharp craft knife to cut this straight line.
2. On the opposite side of the can, draw another straight line and then score this line firmly to allow the can to open up and fold back.
3. Remove the top and bottom round pieces of the can. Use them to trace around thick chipboard. Cut out the round chipboard pieces and then use a hot glue gun to glue the pieces to the bottom end of the box (as pictured).
3. Cover the project with Pion Design papers.
4. apply a metal clasp to keep the box closed (I picked mine up from Hobby Lobby) and painted wood ball knobs for the feet.
It’s an easy project but makes a uniquely special box!
Beautiful!
Absolutely wonderful, stunning, fabulous!!!! I must find somebody who wants to eat the pringles for me!!!!
Thank you for showing this!

bonjour tara moi c est monique c est comme toujours exceptionnelle tout ce que vous faites bravo serait il possible svp d avoir le tuto pour faire cette boite je vous en remercie a bientot de vous lire
Do you have instructions on how to make this beautiful piece? What did you use on the back so it opens and closes? Thank you. Judy
Do you have instructions on how to make this? I’m not sure what you put on the back so the “lid” can be opened. My sister is having a baby shower and I would love to make one of these for everyone who comes.
Hi Judy,
I provided instructions on how to make this project under Jo’s comment above. Let me know if you have questions after reviewing those instructions. :). There is nothing on the back except for a scored folding of the box. It is easily closed and held together with a metal clasp. Thank you and have a great week! Tara
I’m just confirming my email
I have bunions and it has bunions shoes that I have no pain with them. In fact, this is the only shoe. I was worried about buying these online because I couldn’t try them on first, but the customer service chat helped me narrow down the style I was looking for – knee pain and joint instability. They feel great and I’ll be looking for one of the pairs of dressy shoes soon! I really wear. I work, exercise and take long walks in them. If you have any foot issue, try them. I highly recommend Orthofeet.
Hi,
I’m curious, did you clean the oily residue from the interior of the can prior to making the project and if so how did you do it without ruining the cardboard?
Thank you,
Kim
