Here is a card where I have combined the collections Fairytale of Spring with the lovely brown from the collection Grandma’s school book. I have colored the picture with Copics, and decorated the card with pearls and flowers.

I so much enjoy looking at all your beautiful page and tag designs, they are superb. However, I do somethimes think that the colour of your photographs is not the best for the colour scheme. Today there was a lovely page design of a young boy, but the photo was in a bluish black colour which was very unsuitable. I know that colours are a bit difficult online, but if you would try your photos in sepia rather than black from time to time, I think you would soon prfer it for your layouts. It can’t be said too many times; we are so honored to surround ourselves with such talented and inspirational paper crafters!
Hello! I’m Tara Brown and live in Edmond, Oklahoma. I am married and have three daughters, two stepdaughters, and six wonderful grandchildren, soon to be seven! I work full-time as an optometrist, but my evenings are spent paper crafting. I began in 2011 so that I could make meaningful keepsake paper projects for my family and inspirational projects for my mother’s ladies missionary prayer group. My favorite projects are dimensional ones.
The beautiful papers of Pion Design provide me with inspiration. They have remained my favorite paper line and I find it difficult to use anything else! I am so very humbly honored and grateful to be joining such a remarkable and talented Design Team.

I have made a double tag card with the beautiful From my Heart collection. The picture is from the collection From Grandma’s Attic ~ tinted, and I have decorated the card with dies frames, roses, pearls, ribbons and glitter. This cards starts with a large circle that is folded into a card with two pockets, and if you are interested in making this kind of card you will find a tutorial in my blog.

As our list of retailers grows longer and longer, we get more and more curious about the people behind all these stores! So every now and then we ask some of our retailers to tell us a bit more about themselves, and this time we decided to turn the spotlight on Tara Brown and her online store Tara’s Card Studio, that she runs together with her husband Marc.
You can say that Tara is a passionate Pion Design fan, and we were very flattered to learn that our papers were one of the main reasons for Tara opening her scrapbooking store! And of course we want to share Tara’s story and some of her amazing Pion Design projects with all of you:
Tara’s Card Studio is an online store based out of my home here in Edmond, Oklahoma, in the United States. It is relatively new as it was just started in late 2011, with Pion Design being the motivation behind it’s creation. I became seriously involved with paper crafting in 2011. I am drawn to the soft, vintage shabby chic look, but most of the paper lines available in my area did not suit my style. When I discovered Pion Design papers through the beautiful work of Marianne Skeljstad’s blog, I knew I had found the paper I had been searching for. The problem was that I could not find it here. I began ordering directly from Pion Design, but very quickly the idea formed in my mind that others here in the United States would love and want this paper just as much as me if they could see it and have easy access to it. With that thought, I became an authorized retailer in the U.S. for Pion Design so that I could offer these gorgeous papers to others like myself who loved them and just had to have them!
I began my blog featuring projects made with Pion Design papers to expose and promote the beauty of the papers. The response to Pion Design from customers has been very positive just as I predicted. With greater exposure to the beautiful art of Pion Design, I expect the response to continue to expand here in the United States. I am so proud to be able to offer these artistic lovely papers.
As the business has grown, I have become an authorized retailer for other paper crafting companies. I work full-time as an optometrist, and also stay busy with home and family activities, so my time is limited. Although my husband Marc works full-time also, he has stepped in to take over the majority of the business details. I will be able to retire from being an optometrist in 2-3 years and it is my plan upon retirement to devote myself full-time to further expand and promote my online business with Pion Design remaining my main focus.

Hi everyone! I made this layout using the Vintage Garden collection. The bold pink color in this line really caught my attention. I combined it with brown and light pink to create a girly layout of my daughter when she was a baby.
