A warm welcome to Tara!

This Wednesday we have a surprise for you: a new Design Team member to introduce!

We came across talented Tara Browns blog by coincidence and realized that this faboluos paper crafter was a passionate Pion Design fan. We didn’t have to think long before realizing we just had to ask her to join our amazing Design Team, convinced that she will fit in perfectly! It can’t be said too many times; we are so honored to surround ourselves with such talented and inspirational paper crafters!

Hello!  I’m Tara Brown and live in Edmond, Oklahoma. I am married and have three daughters, two stepdaughters, and six wonderful grandchildren, soon to be seven! I work full-time as an optometrist, but my evenings are spent paper crafting. I began in 2011 so that I could make meaningful keepsake paper projects for my family and inspirational projects for my mother’s ladies missionary prayer group. My favorite projects are dimensional ones.

The beautiful papers of Pion Design provide me with inspiration. They have remained my favorite paper line and I find it difficult to use anything else! I am so very humbly honored and grateful to be joining such a remarkable and talented Design Team.

This was a fun project using the gorgeous purples of Alma’s Sewing Room.  The color palettes for this paper collection are just breathtaking!

A couple of cards

Today I would like to share a couple of condolence cards that I have made with papers from Studio of Memories, and sweet pictures from Images From The Past – Animals.

Amongst other things that I do, I work at a Veterinary Clinik. Sometimes when pet owners come to us with their beloved pet, they have to leave without it. Sometimes they are prepared for it, and sometimes they are not. A very sad part of being a pet’s owner… I feel that they deserve personal condolences in these cases, and therefore I make cards, and bring to work for these occations.

Thank’s for stopping by!

Vilken underbar gest och vilka vackra kort. Jag kan bara föreställa mig hur hemskt det är att behöva avliva ett älskat djur.

Adorable cards, with lovely DP.

These are such lovely, lovely cards and I am so touched that you do this for the clients at your clinic as I know what it’s like to have to say goodbye to a beloved pet. Bless you!

Fantastiskt fint Annica ♥

A masculine card

I found a really fun tutorial on the internet that inspired me to create this a card that looks like a man suit, with a shirt tag that can be pulled out from the jacket. Take a look and give it a try! You can either put a candy bar inside or just do as I did, as a card and shirt-tag with a sentiment  on it.

A double tag card

I have made a double tag card with the beautiful From my Heart collection. The picture is from the collection From Grandma’s Attic ~ tinted, and I have decorated the card with dies frames, roses, pearls, ribbons and glitter. This cards starts with a large circle that is folded into a card with two pockets, and if you are interested in making this kind of card you will find a tutorial in my blog.

I wish you all a fine day,
Marianne
